Privacy policy

DRAFT - this page is being reviewed (Australian Privacy Act / APPs).

What we collect

On this site: there are no accounts and we don't ask for your name. Your browser keeps a few small settings in its own storage on your device: that you confirmed you're 18+ (gd_age), which link you arrived from so the buttons take you to the right place (gd_src), calm motion (gd_calm), paused motion on the home page (gd_hero_paused), the stamina plan days you ticked (gd_stamina), an unsent beta note (gd_fb_draft), and for this visit only, whether the beta board's server could be reached (gd_api_off). These stay on your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes them. One more, gd_fbid, is a random code sent with your beta notes and votes so each vote counts once; it is not linked to your name.

Beta board and SUGGEST: when you send a note, we receive what you wrote, its category, the page (and, with SUGGEST, which part of the page you clicked), the random code above and, only if you add one, your email address. Notes stay private unless we choose to show one on the public board, and an email address is never shown. We use it only to reply to you.

NOTIFY ME (the members waitlist): the plan you picked and your email address, used only to tell you when it opens.

Beta voice notes: your recording is sent to our server, turned into text, then deleted. Only the text you choose to send is kept. If our server can't be reached you can choose your browser's own speech recognition instead, which sends the audio to your browser's provider (for example Google or Apple) under their privacy terms.

When you buy a pass: payment is handled by our payment provider (currently Fanvue). We receive what's needed to give you access: an account or order reference, what you bought and when. We never see or store your card details.

When you use the support chat: we keep your messages so we can answer them, and the email address if you choose to leave one, which we use only to tell you we've replied. Your chat is linked to a random code kept in your browser, not to your name.

In the Dome: your session time and the lines you ask Dekota to say (so we can make them and keep them within our rules). Your personal record is kept on your own device.

Talking to her, including LIVE TALK: only while you have talking switched on, what your microphone picks up is sent to our server and our speech-to-text provider so it can be turned into text, and the audio is then dropped: we don't keep recordings of your voice. The text of what you said and her answers are kept with your session, like the lines you ask her to say. Your camera, your own clips and anything you record in the Dome stay on your device.

Age verification (when introduced): done by a specialist provider; we receive only a pass/fail result, never your ID.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your information, we don't use advertising trackers on this site, and nothing on your bank statement mentions the Dome.

Who processes it

Our payment provider, our hosting provider (Cloudflare), our voice-generation provider (for personalised lines and her answers), our speech-to-text provider (for voice notes and talking to her) and our AI text provider (to write her answers). Some of these store data outside Australia.

How long we keep it

Order records as long as tax law requires; session data, conversations and requested lines only as long as we need them to run the Dome and answer you; then deleted. Beta notes and waitlist emails until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to delete it: our support chat. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
